Girls Weekend

Well another girls weekend is in the books! I'm so behind on my blogging. I have missed posting about several things. I'll try to do better!

Girls Weekend 2012

I'm a little late with my posting but Labor Day weekend has always been Girls Weekend in my family. This year it was Sept 1&2. Kim and I went to Jefferson. Dala, Ashley and Erin weren't able to go. They were too busy getting married or moving into new homes! So happy for them but we missed having them along! Maybe next year! We had a nice, relaxing weekend. We stayed at the haunted Jefferson Hotel. It was a very old, beautiful hotel with squeaky stairs! LOL. We also took a riverboat ride, shopped in the antique stores and ate some good fish. I always enjoy time with my dear Kim! Looking forward to next year already!

 

 

 

 

Girls Weekend 2011

Another "Girls Weekend" has come and gone. We had a great time together! We went to Big D this year. We did A LOT of shopping! We covered 3 malls, Sam Moons, went to Studio Movie Grill to see "The Help" and ate out a lot! My brother and his wife met us for lunch on Sunday and did a little shopping with us. We even hung out in the hotel and had some girl talk.

Its that time of year again...

It's hard to beleive that it has been a year since we were spending "Girls Weekend" in NYC. Tonight my daughter and daughter in law will be here. We will get up early in the morning and head to Dallas to meet up with my niece and her Mom. There will be lots of shopping!! We might even go to Allen to the outlet mall. Whatever we decide to do, I can promise we will have lots and lots of fun!!

a sweet thank you...

I had been saving up for my New York Trip ever since we decided we were going to go last year at this time. I had also decided that I wanted to buy a Coach purse(my first) and that it would be fun to wait and buy it in New York City. I'm so glad I did! I know it is probably customary for the employees to follow up with a thank you note, but I thought this one was very sweet and personal, and it meant a lot to me. I sent the picture to Genesis since she asked, and told her to let me know if we ended up on any billboards or magazines! LOL

New York City- Day Five

We only had a few hours left before heading to the airport. We took the subway to Ground Zero. We thought about all the people whos lives were lost that day alsmost 9 years ago. We had a moment of prayer there before heading back to the hotel.

We had a wonderful, fun time in New York. It is a trip I will never forget and I am so glad I was able to share it with my daughter, niece and sister in law. Maybe one day I can go back again and take my son and his wife and my husband.

New York City-Day Four

On our fourth day in New York, we decided to split up and do our own thing for part of the day. Ashley and I wanted to go back to 5th Ave. to do a little site seeing and shopping. We went to Dylan's Candy Bar. We also had lunch at Carnegie Delli. The sandwich was huge!! It was a fun place to have lunch. Kim and Dala went back to China Town. We met up later that afternoon and went to a street festival in Little Brazil. We went back to Rockefeller Center also.Afterwards, we went to Pommes Frites, a Belgian fry place which was a little hole in the wall that only held 12 customers. Ashley had seen it on the Food Network. They serve over 30 different dipping sauces with the fries. All they serve are Belgian fries. It was fun and the fries and sauces were great!
