Thanksgiving 2016

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had here at home! The food, family and fun were abound! So glad to have Mom, Lilly and See, along with Mike and Annette. Of course Ashley, Shaun and the girls were here. Aaron had to work and Erin and Raegan spent the day with her family, but I was so thrilled they came up the next  day and ate leftovers with us! It was a blessed time!

First time to ice skate

For the first time, our little town has a ice  skating rink. It made made of synthetic ice. Thanksgiving night we took the girls. It was their first time. They both did great for their first time.

After Thanksgiving dinner, the girls decorated gingerbread houses. Maitland was so serious and concentrating so hard. She was so cute. Avery had a blast. I thought they turned out really cute!

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a wonderful thanksgiving this year with our family. We sure missed having Aaron and Erin here. They weren't able to come because it's almost baby time and Erin can't travel! We had a lot of delicious food. The girls decorated gingerbread houses. They loved doing that! Later in the afternoon my cousins, Laura and Kelly and Alicia came by for a visit. Later in the evening we took the girls ice skating. I sure hated for the day to end.

Getting ready for the holidays

The holidays are upon us. I'm getting ready to host another family Thanksgiving. I really enjoy Thanksgiving because it's more laid back and relaxing. After a nice meal of turkey, ham and dressing along with all the trimmings, we sometimes take a nice walk or play games and sit around and visit. We sure will miss Aaron and Erin this year, bit little Raegan is due soon so they have to stay close to home. 

Thanksgiving 2012

We enjoyed a nice relaxing Thanksgiving this year. All the kids were here along with Mike's parents, Mom and Mike and Annette. The weather was so nice after our big feast we all enjoyed sitting on the patio, playing corn hole and Avery and Maitland had fun picking up acorns, pine cones and leaves. Of course we also had to play some Turkey Bingo!

We enjoyed another wonderful Thanksgiving together this year. There was so much good food, but the company was the best! We ate a lot, and played some traditional Bingo. Maitland got her first taste of dressing, corn casserole and mashed potatoes and she LOVED it!! She kept wanting more. I'm so glad that my Mom, Mike,my brother, my sister in law,Annette and inlaws along with Ashley,Shaun, Aaron and Erin, Avery and Maitland were all here!

this and that

Seems likes its been a while since I have really posted anything. I've been busy with work, and getting some Christmas shopping done.

Last Friday I was off for Veterans Day, so I spent the day with Aaron since he was off and Erin had to work. We had a great time. He took me shopping and we had a nice lunch at Genghis Grill. I had never eaten there before and I really enjoyed it.

Saturday, I met Ashley in Tyler for lunch and shopping. We got a lot done and had a great time.

This weekend, Mike and I will be keeping Avery and Maitland and I can't wait!! Maitland is crawling everywhere. I have a little craft project lined up for Avery and I to do together.

Looking forward to having our families at our home for Thanksgiving Day. I have the turkey ordered and the ham bought. I dont think I will be participating in the Black Friday shopping this year. I experienced it for the first time a few years ago and its just a crazy, hectic mess!!! It's just not worth it to me and besides, I havent seen anything in the ads I couldnt live without!

This was another great Thanksgiving! It was nice having the kids home for a couple of days, and getting to spend time with my brother and sister in law and Mom. Wednesday night when the kids got here I decided we would have a weenie roast and have hot dogs and smores. It was a lot of fun sitting around the fire eating and visiting. Avery entertained us with some songs she has been learning at preschool. Mike,Erin and I helped Avery make a turkey with an apple. I think Mike and Erin enjoyed it as much as Avery did! haha. Thursday the rest of the family came for Thanksgiving dinner. We had so much food, and everything was delicious! My friends, Paul and Kim along with their children stopped by for a visit. I wanted my brother to meet their children. We had a lot of fun visiting with them. Later that afternoon, we had our traditional "Turkey" bingo.

I got so tickled at Avery. I told her she would get to eat from a "big"girl plate and glass and she LOVED drinking out of that glass! She didnt want to eat because she wanted to hold that big glass! LOL

I gave each of the kids a beanie bear. Vivi Jo chose the "December" bear since that is her birth month. Max chose the millenium bear,Tate and Elliot each chose a USA bear.
