Pecan Meltaways

1 c butter, softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
1/4 t salt
3/4 c chopped pecans
Additional powdered sugar

In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in pecans. Refrigerate until chilled.

Preheat oven to 350. Roll into 1-in. balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar, cool completely on wire racks. Roll cooled cookies again in powdered sugar.

Christmas 2016

We celebrated a wonderful Christmas this year with our family. We started the day by going to church since it was on a Sunday this year. Mom and I made a nice Christmas dinner and the kids arrived just in time! We then opened presents with Mom and Dal. Later we opened presents with the kids and grandkids. Ashley made a game for us to play and it was so much fun! She wrapped all kinds of little prizes into a saran wrap ball and you had to roll dice to a double to pass the ball to the next person. It didn't snow this year, in fact the temperature was close to 70 degrees.

Raegan's first trip to Build A Bear

Ashley wanted to take Avery to Build a best for Maitlands Christmas gift from Avery, so since we had Raegan with us, I let her build one. She really enjoyed it once it got to the part where you give your bear a bath lol. Sweet memories!
