Another craft

Today, my sweet friend Tina came over and showed me how to make a deco mesh wreath. They are pretty easy to make. I just love the happy colors in this one that she helped me with. It looks so springy. And I am SO ready for SPRING!!

I found this cute halloween craft in an email from Gooseberry Patch.

Haunted House

pint-size paper milk carton
cardboard square
vanilla frosting
graham crackers
candy-coated chocolate pieces
candy corn
black licorice
mini chocolate bars
candy pumpkins
ghost-shaped marshmallows


Clean out the milk carton with soapy water, rinse and let dry. Attach the milk carton to the cardboard square with a dollop of frosting; hold in place for 30 seconds. Use frosting to attach graham crackers to carton, breaking the crackers as needed to fit. To form the roof, turn 2 graham cracker rectangles on their sides and lean toward each other; secure to the carton with frosting. Cut a cracker square diagonally and attach each piece to the front and back of the roof. Use frosting to attach the remaining candy. Use candy-coated chocolate pieces as shingles and mini chocolate bars as doors and windows. Use black licorice to fill in the seams of the house and attach pumpkins and ghost-shaped marshmallows.

Jellybean bracelets

I found this cute craft idea on a blog the other day and thought it would be fun to make one for Avery for Easter.A jellybean bracelet! How cute is that? It included the printable tags to add to a sandwich bag along with a cute poem. These were super easy to make. All you need are jellybeans, dental floss, a needle, sandwich bag and ribbon(optional). I think Avery will really like this. She can even eat it if she wants to. :)

Tom Turkey

I found this cute craft on the Gooseberry Patch blog. Wouldnt this be a cute craft to make with your kids or grandchildren? Or keep them busy while your putting the finishing touches on Thanksgiving dinner! Here are the instructions:

apples or pears
ring shaped fruit oat cereal
mini marshmallows
large marshmallows
whole cloves
candy corn
toothpicks

To make Tom's tail feathers,set apple or pear on its side and then stick a few toothpicks into one end,as shown. Stack cereal rings on each toothpick until its nearly full and then place a mini marshmallow on each end. Break a toothpick in half and insert into apple or pear where you'd like the head to be. Press a large marshmallow onto this toothpick and press cloves in for Tom's eyes. Using another half toothpick,secure a piece of candy corn to the front of the marshmallow for Tom's beak. Insert 3 toothpicks into the bottom of the apple or pear so Tom can stand up. Stick 2 more pieces of candy corn on the front to make Tom's feet.
