a sweet thank you...

I had been saving up for my New York Trip ever since we decided we were going to go last year at this time. I had also decided that I wanted to buy a Coach purse(my first) and that it would be fun to wait and buy it in New York City. I'm so glad I did! I know it is probably customary for the employees to follow up with a thank you note, but I thought this one was very sweet and personal, and it meant a lot to me. I sent the picture to Genesis since she asked, and told her to let me know if we ended up on any billboards or magazines! LOL

Here is a glimpse of the broadway musical "Wicked" that we saw while in New York City. All I can say is "AWSOME"!!!

New York City- Day Five

We only had a few hours left before heading to the airport. We took the subway to Ground Zero. We thought about all the people whos lives were lost that day alsmost 9 years ago. We had a moment of prayer there before heading back to the hotel.

We had a wonderful, fun time in New York. It is a trip I will never forget and I am so glad I was able to share it with my daughter, niece and sister in law. Maybe one day I can go back again and take my son and his wife and my husband.

New York City-Day Four

On our fourth day in New York, we decided to split up and do our own thing for part of the day. Ashley and I wanted to go back to 5th Ave. to do a little site seeing and shopping. We went to Dylan's Candy Bar. We also had lunch at Carnegie Delli. The sandwich was huge!! It was a fun place to have lunch. Kim and Dala went back to China Town. We met up later that afternoon and went to a street festival in Little Brazil. We went back to Rockefeller Center also.Afterwards, we went to Pommes Frites, a Belgian fry place which was a little hole in the wall that only held 12 customers. Ashley had seen it on the Food Network. They serve over 30 different dipping sauces with the fries. All they serve are Belgian fries. It was fun and the fries and sauces were great!

New York City-Day Three

On our third day in the big apple, we took a Circle Line Tour of the harbour. It was beautiful seeing the skyline from the boat. The boat took us to see the Statue of Liberty also. We stopped in Battery Park. The line to the Statue of Liberty was 2 hours long. We then went to Central Park. We decided to eat lunch there at the vendors. I had a hot dog and it was really good. We went to Little Italy for dinner that evening and walked around.

New York City-Day Two

Our second day in New York City was very exciting! We got ourselves up at 4:00 a.m. to get ready to go to Good Morning America! We were going to do our best to see if we could get on TV! LOL We were down on Times Square by 5:30 a.m. We didnt realize that we had to have a confirmation number, and were dissapointed when we had to go to the end of the line, but it seemed to work out in our favor because we had a pretty good spot when they shot the outside segment of "Eat Great This Labor Day Weekend" with Sunny Anderson from the Food Network. We were standing right behind the cooking grill and you could see us on TV!!(click here to see us,we are wearing the green lady libery hats) We were so excited. We called some of our family,friends and coworkers so they could catch us on t.v.. I think this was the highlight of our trip! We did a little site seeing later and then another exciting thing we did was to see the broadway play "Wicked". It was awesome!! If you ever get the chance to see it, you should.
