More snow pictures

Today is the first day I have ventured out since Christmas Eve. I wanted to get a few more pics of the snow before it melted. I took these around our neighbors property and our house.

I didnt take many pictures, but here are the few that I did get.

A White Christmas

I have always wanted it to snow on Christmas Day. Well my wish came true this year! What a beautiful snow fall we had! I couldnt have asked for a better Christmas. Being snowed in with all my kids and granddaughters. It was fun. We ate, visited and played games and ate some more! LOL The only thing bad about it was that my brother, sister in law and Mom didnt get to stay long because the roads were getting bad, so they had to head back home. Im thankful they made it home safely. Christmas 2012 will be one we will all rememnber!

Peppermint tray

I was watching "The Chew" the other day, and they showed how to make trays out of peppermints. It was super easy, so I gave it a try. You just place peppermints side by side on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Place about 1/4 inch apart. bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes.

Prairie Lights

I came to spend a couple of days with my brother and his wife, and we decided to go to see the Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie. I am so glad we did! It was really fun! You drove thru a Christmas wonderland, then you got out of your car and walked thru a Christmas Forest of lights. It sure put me in the Christmas spirit! I hope my little granddaughters can go see them sometime, they would love it!
